Fujifilm Canada is Toronto Raptors exclusive photofinishing partner
FUJIFILM Canada Inc. announced it is the official and exclusive photofinishing and camera partner of the Toronto Raptors during the team’s 25th Anniversary season. This new collaboration gives Raptors fans the opportunity to print souvenir photos and win prizes at select game nights in Toronto. Select Raptors games will feature a FUJIFILM Canada Memory Station, allowing anyone to print a free photo souvenir to commemorate their special game night. Throughout the season, online and during home games, FUJIFILM Canada and the Toronto Raptors will also roll out contests that give fans the opportunity to win unique experiences and prizes.
This initiative is fueled by FUJIFILM Print Life, a Fujifilm campaign to create awareness about the importance of printing digital photos.
“Photography brings people together. More than ever, we share an emotional connection to physical photographic prints,” said Tevfik Djamgouz, Senior Director, Photofinishing Solutions at FUJIFILM Canada Inc. “Watching a basketball game with friends and family is all about experiencing moments together. With this partnership, FUJIFILM Canada Inc. and the Raptors are making it fun and easy to connect and share special memories.”
It is estimated that more than 1.7 trillion photographs will be taken worldwide in 2020. Yet most consumers will print very few of their digital photos — or in some cases, not print them at all.
“FUJIFILM’s research indicates that consumers want to print and do more with their photos, but they’re not always aware of the easiest and most efficient printing options available to them,” said Gianmarco Bernaudo, Director, Marketing & Product at FUJIFILM Canada Inc. “Partnering with the Toronto Raptors provides consumers with a fun way to learn about the ease and importance of turning digital images into treasured prints and personalized photo gifts.”
“As part of the partnership, Fujifilm will activate during select ’95 Rewind game nights at Scotiabank arena, where fans will have the opportunity to commemorate their favourite fan moments in print,” said Jordan Vader, Vice President, Global Partnerships and Retail at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). ”With the help of FUJIFILM Canada Inc., we are able to offer our fans a unique experience like this to help celebrate the Raptors’ past and future.”
“We’re thrilled to announce this new partnership with the Raptors and MLSE,“ said Hideaki (Hugh) Tsuda, president of FUJIFILM Canada. ”These are great brands coming together at the perfect time, connecting with fans and encouraging Canadians from coast to coast to capture, print and share their special memories. I look forward to working with the Raptors and MLSE on this exciting program.”
